토라도라 10권! 다 읽었습니다. 사실 다 읽은진 꽤 됐지만 포스팅은 이제야 하네요. 아아 정말 다행입니다. 앜ㅋ 소설 읽으면서 예상치않은 전개에 몇번씩이나 마음이 조마조마했네요. 책은 거의 다 읽어가고 페이지수는 몇 안 남았는데 타이가x류지 떨어진채로 끝나버리면 어쩌지 하고ㅜㅠ

다 읽은 후에 애니도 몇개월간 안보고 남겨둔 마지막 2화를 봤는데... 음, 과정도 결말도 좀 많이 다르더군요. 결정적으로는 둘다 해피엔드였지만.. ㅎㅎ 10권뿐만 아니라 다른 부분에서도 확실히 애니보다는 소설이 훨씬 등장인물들의 심리가 보다 자세하고 깊게 표현된것 같았습니다. 애니는 아무래도 시간의 제약을 받다보니 잘라버리고 오리지널로 커버해버린 경우가 많지요. 뭐, 애니나 소설이나 각각 나름대로만의 재미가 또 있지만...

아무튼! 그래서 완결 기념으로 (좀 엄청 뒷북이지만) 오래전부터 생각해왔던 팬아트를 그려봤습니다. (사실 이게 이 포스팅 본 주제라는 orz) 스케치는 한참전에 해놨지만 스토리 결말을 몰라서 이거 완전 생뚱맞은 상상이면 어쩌나 하고 차마 완성하질 못했는데, 정말 다행입니다. 만약 이야기가 계속되었다면 충분히 실현 가능성 있는(?) 그림이라는... ㅋㅋ

그림의 제목은 "가족사진."
사실 "TORADORA! ~AFTER STORY~"로 하려다 말았다는...ㅎㅎ 아니 근데 '아버지로서' 류지 인상이 눈만 빼면 토모야랑 비슷한 감이 없지않아 있는것 같아요.

다행히도 류지 딸은 아빠의 매서운 눈을 닮지 않았답니다. ㅋㅋ 아참, 그나저나 얘 이름 지어주실 분 있으면 pixiv에 코멘트로 추천해주시길. :)

뭔가 가을 삘이나게 나무를 그려봤는데, 귀찮아서 대충 찍어 칠한후에 cutout로 적당히 처리. 아 아직 실력이 부족해서 도저히 배경까지 세밀하게 그리진 못하겠어요. ㅜㅜ

암튼 뭐 그런겁니다!
토라도라 그동안 참 재미있게 읽었/봤네요. 본편은 끝났지만 외전으로라도 좀 더 써주셨으면 하는 바람입니다^^

Toradora novel vol.10! I've finally finished reading it. Actually, it's already been a while since i've finished it but only now I write a blog post about it. Well well, I'M SO GLAD!!! wow, i don't know how many times I felt so anxious that the story would end with an unsatisfactory ending... fearing it'd just end with Ryuuji and Taiga separated.TT_TT

Novel Vol.10 Super-quick summary: (SPOILER WARNING!!)

Well, so after reading the novels I also finally finished watching the 2 last episodes of the anime adaptation that I had left out unwatched (until I finish reading the original novels.. that was srsly a long wait.T_T) ... um, but it was quite different from the novels. Though Toradora anime was very quite a faithful adaptation of the original work--unlike some anime series that go their way too far--the ending was quite different this time. And as you might have read from above, the order of events in the middle are also bit different. Though anime's ending was also good on its own way (liek multi-combo kisses xD) the novel seemed to be much deeper in many scenes. But of course, I understand the fact that anime obviously had the limit of time and had to cut off specific details/ some entire scenes and cover it up with an original plot.

Yea so anyways!! I drew a fanart in commemoration of the novel's completion (though really, it's quite late thinking both anime and novel have already been finished like 6 months ago in japan..orz). YES THIS IS THE MAIN POINT OF THIS BLOG POST...believe or not.. xD

I actually finished the sketch quite long ago, i think June or so? But just couldn't really get to working on it cause I did not know how the story was gonna end. You know, it'd be quite awkward if the series had ended as Ryuuji&Taiga not making it together (which would be a HORRIBLE end >_<;;) and I draw a happy happy fanart imagining the after-story. haha, but thank God, now I know it's a happy end and if the story had continued... this picture MIGHT really be how it'd look like in the future.

The title of the illust, "Family Photograph."
Originally I thought of naming it as "TORADORA! ~AFTER STORY~"... but somehow didnt. :P But really, as a 'father' Ryuuji's impression kinda reminds me of Clannad's Tomoya. hmm... blue hair maybe? :3

Aren't you SO glad that Ryuuji's daughter didn't inherit her daddy's scary eyes? just the eye colors. XD Oh btw, if you have any good ideas for the kid's name, let me know through commenting on pixiv page. :)

And the background... I tried drawing trees so it's look something like autumn... but got too tired and just quickly flicked some big strokes with colors and 'cutout'! I wish I had more skillz in drawing beautiful and detailed backgrounds. need more training... orz

And so there it is!
Oh I just loved the Toradora series ever since I started reading the novels. Though the main story is now over, I'll just keep hoping that Takemiya-san will write some more spinoff stories.^^
